Today's Update!
We all survived today, and I even managed to eat! (Well, OK, I never have a problem with that...) But by the time 4:00 p.m. arrived, I was running about fifteen minutes behind...Because I promised, here's how the day panned out"
- HUF was amazing. So many ideas, so much vision, so much happening. So privileged to be a part of it.
- Meeting with our Ministry Director was an hour late, but we managed to cover the highlights over the most wonderful grilled chicken salad at the OIP. Right now I have too many ideas...
- Nicole went to ride bikes with a friend after school and happily went off to cheering practice.
- I met Matt for his MRI and preliminary findings suggested ligament tears the question is, will it require surgery...but the dye injection didn't hurt, he said it was more of a pain to hold his arm still in an awkward position. My mother had some leftover Valium from her MRI that she was happy to share. I told people we were running a special on MRI's in our family this week.
- Tianna is healthy, and we accomplished the requisite paperwork. A tear slid down her cheek when she found out she needed two shots. I hated shots too.
- Matt finished his internship paperwork today, yeah! but still needs a place to live.
Time for bed...

Honestly, Kathy, your schedule would kill me! Even with my new-found energy now that I am back working out and walking. My set-back this week seems to be getting used to getting up so early for middle school. I was worried about Simone transitioning, since she was sleeping in till noon or more all summer long (I already miss summer vacation), but she is doing fine and going off on the bus happily and very awake. Me -- I'm into my 3 cups of coffee just to get through mode. BTW, I take a long time to get used to jet lag and even daylight savings time. Today I have to get a large box to the post office to mail off to Gregory in Arizona. He could only take a large suitcase on the plane with him as he flew off to start his freshman year at N. AZ. UNIV. He already bought a bike (cheaper than shipping his from here) and claims that EVERYONE has one, even in Flagstaff. There are bike racks outside of every building. AND, says proud mama, he is going up to his new professors and introducing himself. I wish I had done that when I was in college but I was WAY too shy and lacked self-confidence. It's raining here in MD so my walk will have to wait a bit. Love, Katy
Kathy - you failed to mention being that you got held up even more by your chatty long-lost neighbor! It was nice seeing you again and we'll definitely do the coffee thing very soon.
Linda
I love meeting long lost chatty neighbors, and it only was about 90seconds, I am looking forward to a longer visit soon.
And this was an exceptionally busy day, if this were my schedule every day, it would kill me too...and anyway, Katy, think about the dance schedule you keep with Simone, that would kill me!
